Clarity

Over the past several years, I have often been reminded of a simple truth that impacts my perception and responses to others. It has impacted my lifestyle and my missiology. Ultimately, it even impacts my views on ecclessiology. The statement is this:

Lost people have a propensity to act lost.

When I forget this, I can easily be lured into a mission of moralism where I want to help make people be better. With this reality firmly embraced, however, I have a passion to be sent as Jesus was sent.

almost an M?

The mandate to make disciples as we go is clear. The Savior shares what stirs His guts throughout the gospel. His message is constant. All of the questions reside with us. Do we respond? How do we do it? What does it look like? Who is responsible?

Missional, mission, missionary. How do these intersect and impact each other? What does it mean for the church? For a disciple? How does culture impact the whole? How do mission in a local and global context impact each other? Are there stories worth telling?
